Standing Rules
 

TILDEN WOMEN'S GOLF CLUB - STANDING RULES

1.   The regular order of business at all meetings of the Club shall be as  follows:

[a] Call to order

[b] Roll call of officers and members of the Executive Board.

[c] Reading of the minutes of the last meeting and action thereon.

[d] Reports of officers, Executive Board Members and Committee Chairs

[e] Unfinished business

[f] New Business

2.   Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the proceedings of all meetings of the club when not inconsistent with the Bylaws of this Club.

3.   Records shall be maintained for three years, except in the case of the Captain, Secretary, and Invitational Chair where most records should be kept indefinitely for historical purposes. Other officers and committee chairs should use discretion in destroying records.

4.  Junior Women's Golf shall be the benevolent project of this Club

5.  The colors of the Tilden Women's Golf Club shall be green and white.

6.  The handicapping system of the Club is that adopted by the USGA.

7.  All past and honorary members may be invited to the annual Christmas luncheon.

8.  Each new member shall receive a copy of the Bylaws, General Tournament rules, Local Rules, and a Handbook.

9.   Guest Day will be determined by the incoming Tournament Chair and the Captain.

10. After July 1, new members will pay one half (1/2) the annual dues, full initiation fee, full PWGA membership fee, and full handicapping fee.

11. The Treasurer's books shall be audited at the end of the year, or before they are turned over to the incoming treasurer. Such auditor shall be appointed by the Captain.

12. Monthly Charm competition. At the end of the playing year, (January through October), the player who has recorded the most low net scores on Charm Day will be awarded the charm. If more than one player has recorded the same number of low net scores, a play off will determine the winner.

13. Monthly Low Putt competition. At the end of the playing year, (January through October), the player who has recorded the most low putt rounds on Low Putt Day shall have her name inscribed on the Perpetual trophy. If more than one player has recorded the same number of low putt rounds, a play off will determine the winner.

14. Chip-In Competition. At the end of the playing year, (January through October), the player who has recorded the most chip-ins will have her name inscribed on a perpetual trophy, The Cecil Davis Chip-In Trophy. If two or more players record the same number of chip-ins, all names will be inscribed on the trophy.

15. Hole-In-One. A member scoring a hole-in-one at the Tilden Park Golf Course on a regularly scheduled play day shall:

[a]. Receive the funds that have accumulated and are listed on the Treasurer's books. All funds will be paid out to the person making the hole-in-one.

[b]. The Hole-in-One Chair shall immediately start to collect two dollars ($2.00) from all members in order to build up the fund again.

16. At the first Executive Board meeting of the year, the incoming Captain shall:

[a]. Invite all incoming officers, Executive Board Members and Committee Chairs at a time and place of her choosing.

[b]. Provide lunch with the assistance of some, or all members of the Executive Board.

[c]. All non-voting members shall leave after lunch.

[d]. The Executive Board meeting shall commence immediately after lunch.

17. These Standing Rules may be amended by either of the following:

[a]. By a majority vote of the Executive Board at any meeting, provided notice of this proposed action has been given at a previous Executive Board Meeting.

[b]. By a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Executive Board at any meeting without previous notice of the proposed amendment (s)!, providing a quorum is present to conduct business.
